Andrew Macurak
Andrew Macurak consults with a firm specializing in public sector and nonprofit management and communications in Pittsburgh, PA. A freelance writer as well as a board member of a local community development corporation, Andrew also is an alum of Young People for the American Way, a progressive youth leadership training institute. Additionally, he studies urban policy and administration at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is an editor of the Pitt Political Review and president of the Urban Studies Association.
Andrew is interested in tying community building into the larger social justice movement, and in combining the resources the private sector has with the community interest the public sector is capable of. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys low-budget travel, dogs of all kinds, and finding bargains on Craigslist. He can be reached at andrew.macurak(at)gmail.com.
